Although implemented by the regional DHEC staff, Westside Community Center serves at the home base office for Nurse-Family Partnership in Anderson County. It provides a wealth of program support located in the middle of a high-need neighborhood.

Nurse-Family Partnership Success Stories in Anderson
- An Anderson NFP mother who has been actively participating in the program for a year and a half was encouraged by her nurse home visitor to start college at Clemson University. The client is in her second semester of her sophomore year. She maintains an impressive GPA, works part time and is a wonderful mother to her 14-month old son.
- NFP Nurse Home Visitor Susan’s client was homeless when she found out she was pregnant. The client also had custody of her sister’s child. Through Susan’s support, the young mother is now living in subsidized housing with a healthy baby girl. After maternity leave, the mom plans to return to her previous employment.
- NFP Nurse Home Visitor Michelle helped a client whose son is now a healthy 14-month-old. The young mother enrolled in a flight school in Atlanta and is currently interviewing for airline jobs.
- NFP Nurse Home Visitor Marilyn’s client was in high school when she joined the program. She delivered a healthy baby boy and is now enrolled full time at Clemson University with her grandmother providing childcare during her classes.
