Become a champion for Nurse-Family Partnership families
Each mother enrolled in Nurse-Family Partnership works with her nurse to develop the skills she needs to succeed. Awareness of this evidence-based, cost-effective service model is growing, but a drumbeat of support from the public is needed to influence policy-makers to help extend the program to more expectant moms who are working to give their children a brighter future.
The Nurse-Family Partnership’s Policy and Government Affairs, Business Development and Nurse Consultant teams work to mobilize advocacy efforts nationwide. Still, nothing compares with the power of each mother’s story and endorsements from Nurse-Family Partnership supporters in communities all across the country.
Each year, Nurse-Family Partnership brings mothers and nurses to Washington, D.C., and state capitals to share their stories, helping to bridge partisan divides and strengthen the growing chorus of government leaders who understand the power and potential of Nurse-Family Partnership to build strong lives and communities.
Contacting members of Congress is still one of the most effective ways to influence public policy. Nurse-Family Partnership invites its supporters to write letters, contact their representatives and join the effort to support federal, state and local initiatives to expand and sustain the program.
