Keep evidence-based home visiting strong.

Broad group of organizations urge Congress to protect federal support.

Nurse-Family Partnership is helping to lead a broad group of organizations in urging Congress to retain current funding levels in the Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program. Home visiting programs, business leaders, child advocacy organizations, health, education and social services providers, and law enforcement are reinforcing that the new MIECHV Program is making a difference in the lives of at-risk children and families by helping to reduce prematurity and low birthweight; child abuse, neglect and injuries, language delays and cognitive disabilities, and dependence on public assistance. So far, the MIECHV Program enjoys broad support nationally, with 49 states, six territories, and numerous tribes and tribal organizations participating in the program.
