Wyoming’s nickname is the Equality State. That says a lot about a wide-open state that has chosen to implement Nurse-Family Partnership in 14 of its far-reaching counties.

Nurse-Family Partnership Nurse Home Visitors work with low-income women who are pregnant with their first child, helping these vulnerable young clients achieve healthier pregnancies and births, stronger child development, and a path toward economic self-sufficiency. Nurse-Family Partnership is a rare community health program that has been documented to achieve lasting and significant effects through multiple, well-designed randomized, controlled trials. More than 30 years of research proves that it works.

From 1996 to 2002, Nurse-Family Partnership programs took root in 14 counties under the administration of the Wyoming Public Health Department. Today, with the support of the state and local health departments, the Wyoming Nurse-Family Partnership is focusing its efforts on maintaining solid client referral sources over a large geographic area of the state, in order to provide the best possible services to eligible families as a Wyoming charity.
