Louisiana has been a leader in evidence-based home visitation as one of the earliest implementers of Nurse-Family Partnership, beginning in 1999. Nurse-Family Partnership is operated by the Louisiana Office of Public Health and through a strong collaboration with the Tulane University Department of Psychiatry. Thanks to public-private partnerships, Nurse-Family Partnership nurses are serving first-time, low-income families in 60 of the state’s parishes.

Over 40 years of evidence show the measurable, long-lasting difference Nurse-Family Partnership makes in the lives of moms and their children. Meet NFP moms and nurses in our video.
